Wow, what a contest!

The Australian region (Region 34) of Sweet Adelines competed in their annual convention last week at Wrest Point in Hobart 16 to 19 May 2019.

It was once again an amazing competition with members coming from all over Australia to enjoy singing, listening and learning from our sisters in harmony. The comaraderie our region has is something pretty special as we greet, hug and cheer on our friends as they step across that amazing stage.

Melbourne Chorus is thrilled to announce they placed 2nd in Mid sized chorus section (with 55 members competing) with a score of 608. They were also were awarded the 3rd place medal for the overall competition which included 17 competitors.

These results ensured we were invited to sing again proudly wearing our two medals, during the Parade of Champions. Our rendition of Loch Lomond had both tears and resounding audience participation.
